Double One Design is a new design partnership between Reid Bingham and Sean McIntyre. We make projects with LEDs, custom programming, embedded technology, and interaction. Contact us if you'd like to discuss a project or collaboration.
Reid is a teacher, designer, and electronics hacker. After working for the Architectural League of New York for several years he is at Beam Center, designing electronics kits to teach 3rd to 8th graders about LEDs, sound, and how to solder. He is also a cofounder of Cinebeasts, a rogue band NYC film programmers that screen movies in unique places around the city. Current obsessions include building modular lofts with schedule 40 pipes, dollar store electronics design, Highway Gothic, and subway busking with short films.
Hacker, artist, programmer, Canadian, friend to all. Sean moved to New York to work as a programmer on Wall Street, but left to do a masters' degree at New York University's ITP program. Not only is Sean a programming contest world finalist, he is passionate about how to apply technology to connect people in physical communities. Sean owns roughly 50 computers that can boot into Linux and his new year's resolution is to boot his personal computer into Ubuntu more often than OS X.
